KC Art On The Block: A Black Lives Matter Project

Avrion, a renowned artist known for their bold and evocative work, was honored as one of six artists selected to make a profound statement in Kansas City. The project, located at the iconic intersection of 10th and Baltimore, transformed the streets into a canvas for change. Avrion’s mural, stretching over two blocks, became a focal point in the city, serving as a powerful visual testament to the Black Lives Matter movement.
With the help of over 100 volunteers, Avrion and the team poured their hearts into this ambitious project, working tirelessly over two days to bring the mural to life. The artwork, rich in color and symbolism, not only beautified the area but also amplified a crucial message of solidarity, resilience, and hope. This collaborative effort reflected the spirit of the community, uniting people from all walks of life to stand together for justice and equality.
