Last summer, several groups took to Kansas City streets to paint Black Lives Matter murals across the city. Soon there will be more street art, thanks to a new $25,000 grant.

“I’m pretty shocked how much paint is still here,” Jackson said.

Jackson painted a BLM street mural more than a year ago. She says Kansas City’s needs more art like it.

That’s the message one national organization is pushing as well. Kansas City is one of 26 cities in the country receiving $25,000 to paint street art.
